Wireless Management

Wireless management is an often overlooked task that will reap huge savings if managed properly. In fact, it is not uncommon for clients to cut their wireless spend by 15% or more.

D&M’s wireless management service will provide you with a snapshot of your company’s wireless usage and expense. Not just limited to cell phones, this service also monitors BlackBerrys, PDAs, wireless cards for laptops and beepers.

The first step in organizing your wireless spend is the creation of a baseline inventory of your wireless assets. This inventory is obtained through a combination of direct contact with employees (typically by email survey) and a review of employee bills. Included in this analysis are wireless devices that are being reimbursed through expense reports.

Once your baseline needs and usage are determined, D&M will suggest alternative providers who can offer plans that are better suited to meet your organization’s needs. Whether a new provider is suggested or it is determined your current provider has the ability to meet your needs, D&M can negotiate a pool rate by consolidating all your wireless needs with one carrier. Aside from lower contracted rates, additional benefits such as more minutes and the elimination of roaming charges, are typically incorporated into a new plan.

D&M’s COMMauditor will also provide usage trends and provide detail on who the “heavy users” are. And working in concert with your Human Resources department, we can reassign wireless equipment when an employee is terminated or quits.

From an invoice processing standpoint, D&M will review all bills to ensure you are being billed at the contracted rate and only for those wireless assets that should be billed. If it is determined that an invoice includes overcharges, charges billed at the wrong rate, or charges for assets that should not be included, D&M will rectify the discrepancy with the carrier. Only after the invoice is corrected, resubmitted and determined to be accurate will it be forwarded to you for payment.

As an added incentive to let D&M manage your wireless needs, due to on D&M’s relationship with the carriers, you can often count on free accessories and phones, resulting in additional savings for your company.

Wireless services were brought into many enterprises through the back door - pushed by individual users or lines of business. Adequate internal adoption, usage or management polices will prevent unnecessary spending.
